Europe: Day 18 - Venice

|
Bought the 24 hours boat pass and went to Venice early in the morning. Trailed down the Grand Canal and took pictures at the famous bridge, Ponte di Riatto. We saw St Giorgio from Salute, head to Accademia, then Piazza St Marco and had lunch at a hotel there. Walked down to Arsenal before waiting for the last ferry back to Fusina.

Europe: Day 17 - Rome to Venice

We traveled to Venice on the intercity train, me thinks. After much confusion, we finally settled ourselves in the cabin. We arrived in Venice Mestre station around 5pm, and took the bus to Camping Fusina. The cabin had no adjacent toilet or shower, so everytime we need to go there we had to run since it was quite cold!

Europe: Day 16 - Rome
|
|
|
The day started off with good weather. We headed straight to Termini, purchased tickets for the Rome Bus Tour. Visited the Colosseum, Palatino (Rome ruins), Piazza Venezia, Vatican City, and Fontana di Trevi where we had yummy gelato.

Europe: Day 15 - Rome

|
Arrived in Rome around 10 in the morning, local time. It was raining heavily, luckily I brought along an umbrella. We headed straight to our camping site, got into a 'bungalow' and slept for a few hours. By late afternoon we went out to purchase some tickets, and went sightseeing at Spagna (Spanish Steps) and Pantheon soon after. Had delicious pizza at the hostel's restaurant. Yum!!

Its Boxing Day!!! Went to Oxford Street, met Sasha by accident in one of the shopes. Crazy day for shopping I tell you! I'm not so good with shopping, so didnt buy much (only two pairs of slacks and blouses ok?) There was even a big commotion in Selfridges. Shopping sampai nak bertumbuk ke?!
Had dinner at Malaysia Hall canteen before running off to meet Mala at Victoria tube station. Took the National Express to Stanstead airport

Europe: Day 13 - London
|
|
|
Took a walk with Farrah in Hyde Park. Passed by Kensington Palace (Princess Di's residence). Had lunch before heading back to Holland Park by foot.

Europe: Day 12 - London
|
|
Farrah and Wan Mohd Hafiz came to Holland Park in the wee hours of the morning. Went to Manor House (again!) by bus, and reached around past 4am. Slept for a few hours, had breakfast and headed for my London tour soon after. Went to Tower of London, Tower Bridge, HMS Belfast, Big Ben, House of Parliamnet, Westminster Abey, St James Park, Buckingham Palace. The only tourist-essential place yang tak pergi was Trafalgar Sq, tak sempat!!
Watched the play 'Blood Brothers' at Phoenix Theatre. It was Mala's idea, partly to get a taste of the Brit's culture. It was a good musical I must say. Met up with Farrah again to have Christmas Dinner at Kerol, Budu and Francois' place. What a lovely meal, compliments to the chef (Francois)! Slept over at Farrah's in Mara Hostel.

Head to London, met Mala's cousin and head straight to their place at Holland Park. After resting for quite a while, we went straight to Manor House. Met up with Kamal after that and had snack at Edgward Road, courtesy of Kamal. Thank you!!

Didnt do much. Went to Arndale to buy some stuff. Bought some snacks to occupy myself when I'm bored, haha!

Europe: Day 9 - Luton

Took the 7am train to Koln/Bonn airport. It was almost -10 degress outside. Arrived in Luton safely, though feeling quite tired. Catched up on some much needed rest before continuing my journey on full gear!
