This was from this month's roda. Sorry if the pictures are crappy, I didnt dare use the flash for fear it might get in the eyes of the capoeiristas making them lose concentration, and I didnt bring my tripod either. Will try to get them rescaned if possible, scanner's gone boinkers! But you know that already, right?

Westfield, Bondi Junction
Ah, at last we spread our wings and go jalan jalan after spending days and days stuck at home.. (well not my home, but errr boleh la since I'm the 'holiday' housemate hehe) I wanted to go out, partly to pay my rent and Beina and Maiya got excited too. So we decided to head to Bondi Junction, after all its late-night shopping on Thursdays!! Occupied our time by walking around the whole complex, and ohh tried on some clothes which we wouldnt dream of buying. Too expensive!!

Roda of the month
Roda, which is a circle - is a space for playing capoeira. They gather every month to play capoeira, and its full of energy, singing, clapping, and basically having fun.
Grupo Capoeira Brasil started in 1992 in Australia by Contra Mestre Peixe. My instructor, Professora Meirelou is the highest student of Peixe. This group practices Capoeira Regional Contemporanea, which is a high speed game incorporating a lot of martial art style and acrobatic movements. We even get to see Maculele which is a traditional folk dance/fight which is done with wooden sticks. The experienced ones use parang-like and you can actually see sparks flying when it hits each other..
It was such a superb event. Sorry though that I didnt take much superb pictures, there's always something in front of me. Hopefully will get to go to the next one!! Oh well, hope you enjoy the pics anyway!

MGM - Malam Gema Merdeka
I wonder why they call it Malam Gema Merdeka, dia bergema gema ke?? How ironic, to be celebrating it on 11th September, heheheh... Sorry, but there were more ex-post pics than ex-ante or during the dinner itself. Was playing around with the camera, couldnt figure out how to change some of the settings, hence why some pictures are darker especially the earlier ones. Oh well, at least ada kan???

I curse all of you who's contributed to the damage of my scanner. Shame on you for not knowing how to take care of other people's posession. At times I notice ants crawling out of it when I got it back, and an unidentified liquid stain still visible from those days. Damn you people, I cant scan my pictures perfectly no more since, and now I cant even scan any pictures at all!! I dont think I can afford to repair it, its unrepairable - I might as well buy a new one
Bloody hell

But anyway, my cousin, her friends, my friends, our friends came to Australia for a visit. These are pictures of us touring the city of Sydney.
*pictures courtesy of Aida, heheee.. i still have yet to develop mine!!
