Blind date with VIP
Tan, on behalf of the ELPians, organised a blind date with the VIP (Visually Impaired Person)
Our first outing with them was at FRIM, and I must say, it was a good success, though luck wasnt really on our side as we did not get to go on the canopy walk!

Cambodia - Day 5 (Phnom Penh)
Today's our final day in Cambodia. Stayed at the Okay Guesthouse the night before, which is near the river and few minutes walk away from tourist attractions, e.g. the Silver Pagoda and the Palace (hey, the royal family still stays there!)
It was a good trip alright, though we experience massive delay on our flight back home (like stuck in the airport for half a day to wait for an airplane to come and resuce us!)

Cambodia - Day 4 (Siem Reap to Phnom Penh)
Ah, its time to travel by bus yet again! Nothing significant to note about the journey, me thinks!
We decided to stay near the river this time around (Okay Guesthouse) which was in walking distance to places like the market, palace, museum and lots more!
Went to the old market, and by the time we got there it was nearly time to close shops! I, of course, didnt manage to buy anything (haha!!). It rained, yet again, but I guess it was a blessing in disguise cause we get to eat some reallllyyy delicious sotong bakar yum!!!

Cambodia - Day 3 (Siem Reap)
We were up super early so that we could catch the sunrise at the temples (i think sunrise was around after 5 if i'm not mistaken!).. didnt manage to get good sunrise pictures though cause it was a bit cloudy
spent almost the whole day there walking around the ruins from angkor wat to angkor thom (its two different places okayyy??). the last temple we went to was beautiful, set in the middle of mini forest and the walls were engulfed by large trees. apparently its the place where the tomb raider was shot!
wanted to catch the sunset from atop of a hill, but i guess its not meant to be for us this time around - it was raining heavily so we decided to call it a day.

Cambodia - Day 2 (Phnom Penh to Siem Reap)
We woke up super early to catch the 7.30am bus to Siem Reap (actually the sun rises after 5am!). It was a good 6 hours bus ride, and not expensive either! Arrived at Siem Reap after 1pm, and we were engulfed by the tut tut drivers offering to take us to the hotels! Luckily we managed to arrange for someone to pick us up (Mr. Pheng!) and we stayed at, uh, Popular Guesthouse.
One of the caretakers' name was Zakaria, and he spoke fluent Malay! A very good surprise indeed! Went off to the market (where I purchased four bags worth $50 - a very good bargain I tell ya!). Didnt take that many photos today though...

Cambodia - Day 1 (Phnom Penh)
We took the Air Asia flight (of course!) to Phnom Penh, err I think it departed sometime after 3pm. Arrived in Cambodia on time, I think - and we took a motorcycle ride to our guesthouse which I dont quite remember the name anymore. It overlooked the lake, which was beautiful... Spent the rest of the afternoon walking around in the lanes and found ourselves having a sunset dinner at No 9 Guesthouse
I remembered when we bought the ticks (and this was wayyyyy back in September '06 if I'm not mistaken) when Air Asia had their 2 million tickets to give away for free... Once transaction went through, we were wondering why we bought tickets to Phnom Penh, and uh, embarrassingly enough I initially thought it was in myanmar hahahahahah!!!!!!!!!
